A note from our CEO on COVID - 19

At Ogleby we care about your health. In fact that’s why we exist – to support you in achieving your healthy living goals, which in turn affect your other favorite activities.  We have created a brief overview and coronavirus COVID-19 Resources.

Cleanliness and safety is not new to us. Providing the highest quality soap is part of who we are, so you can care for yourself and your family in a safe, clean, and effective manner.

We are fortunate to work in a high organic content industry that requires a high degree of cleanliness and sanitation. Our products are made in environments which are cleaned regularly throughout the workday with strong, approved cleaners and disinfectants. We manufacture all our products in compliance with the best industry standards to ensure the integrity and quality you’ve come to expect over the past decade.

In these days of extra caution and concern over the coronavirus (COVID-19), we know you are taking extra steps to ensure the safety of yourself and your families, neighbors and co-workers by cleaning and scrubbing even more often. Please take a moment to review key information about How to Wash Hands we've gathered from the Center of Disease Control (CDC) to share with our Ogleby Family. First off, our hearts are with you.

How to wash your hands.

It’s the friction of washing for 20 seconds that is getting your hands clean; think sandpaper. You are scrubbing your hands clean. The soap grabs onto the loosened bacteria, germs and dirt and then rinses everything down the drain.

Considering you are washing your hands frequently and vigorously during the day and night, it will give you great piece of mind knowing Ogleby Soaps clean and as moisturize as much as scientifically possible.  You might be cleaning your home with stronger chemicals more frequently and experiencing dryer hands. Be sure to wear gloves.  Looking for additional moisture? Try this Skin-Food Hand and Body Cream sample for $1 to see if it works with your skin type.

Using hand sanitizers in a pinch makes sense. CDC recommends soap and water as a first choice if possible and here is some information from other reputable sources on hand sanitizers that have similar views as Ogleby and the CDC about  hand sanitizer being the SECOND  choice to clean your hands.

As dedicated members of the Ogleby Family, we know you prefer bar soap, as does T. Bergman from Las Vegas NV. She let us know her great idea of taking her Ogleby Bar Soap with her, in her pocketbook, wherever she goes. She is using a ziplock bag from home. I've contacted some manufacturers and ordered a few waterproof soap dish samples to do some testing on and I will let you know when I have some results for you. You can guess that I'm looking for a soap holder that is waterproof with a built in strainer to help keep full size soap bars, dry and portable. Probably something from hiking, camping industry. There are some sellers on amazon if you want to take full size bars with you right away.  You can also, carefully, cut your full size bars into about 240 single wash bars.

We do not wish to cause any undue panic but believe with common sense awareness and heightened concern, and even more diligent attention to cleanliness and hygiene, we will all keep, as a top priority, the health and safety of our homes, our communities, our country and the world at large.

Thank you for your business and trust.

Sincerely,

Linda Moncrief, CEO
